Ropes & Challenges at Killary

High Ropes & Zip Wire

Imagine four 60 foot telegraph poles linked together with tightropes, slippery poles and monkey rings and now imagine challenging yourself to make it up there and either as a tem or an individual, complete the challenge your instructors set you. The High Ropes offer many different level of challenges. IF you are worried about heights then you can start on the low ropes course and build up your confidence. Will you dare take the" Leap of Faith" on Ireland's highest Zip Wire?

Orienteering

This Activity gives you an opportunity to explore the beautiful Connemara countryside but with the added challenge of map reading and competing with your fellow adventurers. You will be shown basic map reading and given a time limit to find 12 markers set within the Killary Grounds. We are always looking for someone to beat the Killary Record!

Killary Challenge

The Killary challenge is designed around the basic principles of survival, fun, physical and mental challenge. This particular challenge will see your group divided into teams competing against each other to claim victory. Each team must do a number of tasks and be awarded on their achievements. The easy tasks will carry the least amount of points and the hardest the most. Tasks are set up at varying distances from the start point also so this is another element for consideration. Teams will locate each task with the aid of a Global positioning system and will be accompanied by an instructor.
