What it involves:

A cross between snowboarding and water skiing, the wakeboarder is towed behind a speedboat with their feet strapped to a board. So instead of a snowboarder descending the slopes at speed you have the boarder being pulled across the surface of the water. The wake produced by the boat gives way to a playground on which you can practice jumps and many tricks. Will you master the Air Raley, the Tweety Bird or even the Tantrum? Well maybe not yet on your first attempt, but your wakeboarding session at Killary could be the start of a new obsession!

 Equipment:

Killary Adventure Co. will provide all of the gear you need for this activity. With our range of speedboats and our location on the sheltered waters of Killary Fjord we are ideally equipped to give you an amazing experience. We will also supply you with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet so all you will need to bring is your swimsuit.

A wakeboarding session lasts 1.5 hours for up to 4 people. See our Activity Rates section on the website for prices for wakeboarding and all of our other activities. Wakeboarding is a surcharged activity. You can always combine wakeboarding with another activity to make your time at Killary last longer!
