Killary Adventure Co is situated on Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord, in Connemara on the scenic Irish West Coast in Co. Galway. The nearest village is Leenane, and our centre the K2 is located on the Clifden road about half-way between Clifden and Westport on the N59. We can be reached  by train to Westport or Galway and bus/taxi from there.  There is a daily public bus transfer from Galway city to Leenane village,  but during the summer months only (operates end of June to end of August) and during the winter timetable (all other times) on a Tuesday and Saturday. The public bus transport is limited for getting direclty to Killary Adventure Co so if you intend to travel by public transport please check all details.  Check bus timetables on www.buseireann.ie and/or click here for a summary.

If you are driving from Galway follow the signs for the N59 "Clifden" and after passing through the villages of Moycullen and Oughterard you will arrive at Maam Cross (easily distinguished by the Peacock's hotel complex on your right). At this crossroad turn right following the signs for "Leenaun".

At the next T-junction at Keane's Pub, turn left. After about 11km this road will bring you into the village of Leenane where you go through the village and out on to the Clifden Road (keep the water on your right hand side) where after another 5km you will see the sign for Killary Adventure Co.  Our building is on the left had side of the road as you travel Leenane to Clifden.

If you are driving from Westport  (by the way we recommend going via Westport if you coming from Dublin on a Friday evening as you miss the traffic in Galway City) once in Westport look for the Leenane /Clifden road (signposted N59) and it is straight all the way. Once in Leenane continue out the Clifden road (N59) keeping the Killary Fjord on your right and we are 5km on the left hand side.

Travelling from Dublin to Killary Adventure Co can be via Westport or Galway city.  With the opening of the new Motor Way from Dublin to Galway the jouney is very quick but you can get caught in traffic in Galway city depending on the time you pass through the city.  In terms of driving time, Killary Adventure Co would be about a 1 hour journey by car from Galway City and about a 30 minute drive by car from Westport.
