T2 is our 200 HP, 7 metre RIB (central console). For those who are not familiar with this description T2 is basically a very, very fast boat!
T1 is our 100HP, 5 metre RIB (central console). This boat has been modifies for the ideal water-skiing and Wakeboarding sessions
The Zodiac makes an excellent rescue boat but is still exciting to handle with a 50 HP engine.
This course is the ISA National Power Boating Course and during the two days you will cover boat preparation, handling skills, high speed turns, mooring, different driving conditions (wind, tide etc) coastal theory and maritime rules.
Mountain Skills This course will cover skills to gear you towards becoming a self-sufficient Hillwalker. The Mountain skills programme, is approved by the Mountaineering Council of Ireland.
Mountain skills covers Navigation, Equipment, Mountain Hazard awareness, Steep Ground training, and Emergency procedures. There is also the Mountain Skills Test which, over two days, covers all areas of the syllabus and provides a formal assessment of personal skills. This is a pre-requisite for those wishing to enter the Mountain Leader training programme.
KayakingThe introduction will include basic paddle strokes, rescue skills and using the correct equipment. You will then progress onto the ICU's proficiency award scheme. Using this syllabus we will teach you the finer details of paddle strokes giving you greater control of your boat.
