With 30 years of experience behind us, we know how to run safe, fun and memorable adventure camps that your child will never forget.

With our highly experienced and qualified instructors and activity selection second to none, Killary runs one of the best summer camps in the country. Watch our summer camp video to give you an idea of the fun that can be anticipated!

We have activities for children who are aged 8 - 18 years ranging from Bungee Jump to Ringo Rides as well as warm, comfortable bedrooms all en-suite, 24 hour supervision, great food and specialised camp councillors. You are going to have a hard time convincing your child to come home! There are both residential and non-residential options for summer camp.

For 2012 we will run the summer camp for the 4 weeks of June so the first one starts on Sunday 3rd June, there are also Spanish language camps available. 2. Blogs - The red jumper that made it to the top of the Matterhorn!!

This blog has been a long time coming, started when I was working freelance a couple of years ago. Mona gave me this lovely red cozy Killary fleece to wear for the week and that’s what I did, so much so that I didn’t want to give it back. So the little brain went about shceaming on how I could keep it…..

Me: Hey Mona I’m off to the Alps to climb the Matterhorn next month!

Mona: O yeah?

Me: yeaaah! Do you see this top I’m wearing, I was thinking right….that I’ll wear this fleece when I summit the Matterhorn, take some photos and email them to you and you can use them to promote the company, in return I get to keep the fleece!?

3. Killary Adventure - Reducing our environmental impact

Here at Killary we care about the environment and how we leave our mark on it, as a result of this we think a lot about different ways of reducing our footprint on the pristine environment where we live.

Over the past number of years we have been pro active in how we approach the question of how to deal with our waste and our use of fossil fuels. Here is a brief summary of what we are doing at present.

4. Connemara Adventure Challenge 2012

Wow were we lucky with the weather!! Saturday was a beautiful May day with sunshine and very little wind.....Sunday was like a whole different season, gale force winds, torrential rain!

With just under 800 people signing up to do the event it was a great race and very fast this year.

The first male across the line was Jerry O Sullivan in 1 hours 59 minutes and 19 seconds creating a new course record. The first female over the line was Colette Sweeney who completed the course in a time of 2 hours 23 minutes and 56 seconds, knocking 8 mins off her time from last year. There were a lot of personal records beaten from the last few years, so congratulations to all competitors!
The results are now available to view on the gaelforce website here.

The next Gaelforce event is in Donegal on the 23rd of June - Gaelforce North. August 18^th brings around once again the infamous Gaelforce West, the biggest adventure race of its kind in the World. This is the ultimate event and will see you cover an amazing course over 67 km. Are you up for it? There is still plenty of time to up your training and get yourself Gaelforce fit!
