Powerboat Training Courses at Killary
Powerboat courses are held in Killary Harbour, Ireland’s only fjord. It’s a very safe sheltered area surrounded by beautiful scenery. Water Skiing, Wake Boarding, Ringo Rides, Coastal trips as well as safety rescue for wind surfing and sailing are all activities that require boat driving skills. With Marine regulations become increasingly strict with regarding boat use, your Power Boat Level Two is an essential qualification for those interested in these sports.
COURSE: Power Boat Level Two
There is an exceptional choice of Power Boats at Killary.
T2 is our 200 HP, 7 metre RIB (central console). For those who are not familiar with this description T2 is basically a very, very fast boat!
T1 is our 100HP, 5 metre RIB (central console). This boat has been modifies for the ideal water-skiing session.
The Zodiac makes an excellent rescue boat but is still exciting to handle with a 50 HP engine.
This course is the ISA National Power Boating Course and during the two days you will cover boat preparation, handling skills, high speed turns, mooring, different driving conditions (wind, tide etc) coastal theory and maritime rules.
This two-day course is a combined training and assessment award.
